Let’s set the scene. It’s 2020 and I’m a senior in college trying to navigate a pandemic (who saw that one coming!?). I had no family in real estate, no rich uncle, and no investment experience. Plus, I lived in the Bay Area, one of the most expensive real estate markets in the country. Did that stop me from turning my dreams into a reality? No.
I became obsessed with educating myself about real estate investing and surrounded myself with accomplished investors. Fresh out of college at 22, I built up the courage to purchase my first investment property in Cincinnati, Ohio — the rest was history.
After working my 9-5, I continued to work 5-9 to build my real estate portfolio. I went from having no social media or connections in real estate to using social media, private capital, and partnerships to buy 25 units in less than 2 years — replacing my income, quitting my job, and becoming a full-time real estate investor. Crazy, right!?
since becoming a full-time investor,
I’ve done everything from single-family homes to apartment buildings using multiple strategies — short-term rentals, mid-term rentals, flips, wholesales, and (my personal favorite) long-term rentals! These properties generate enough income to allow me to live a life where I have the freedom to pursue all of my passions, goals, and ambitions without having to worry about working a 9-5 job ever again.
Since then, I've developed a passion for teaching others the ins and outs of building passive income through real estate. So get that latte ready, and let's talk real estate!
